Dining at Tapologo

Enjoy freshly homemade meals at Tapologo Lodge, using the finest locally sourced ingredients which are combined in our farmhouse-style kitchen by our talented chef. Our diverse menus reflect the different cultural influences from years gone by in African history.

After your private game drive, why not enjoy a champagne brunch where you can sit back and muse on the game you have viewed whilst enjoying a full English breakfast, adding a homemade pancake or two drizzled with maple syrup if your appetite allows.

Try our afternoon tea, which consists of freshly baked cake, scones and a lovely array of delicate finger sandwiches coupled with freshly brewed Zimbabwean coffee. Add an optional dash of Amarula, a delicious liquor made from the Marula fruit, or try our tea sourced from a tea estate in Mulanje, Malawi.

All meals can be served in a variety of settings; from the veranda, to the outdoor viewing platform, or on the deck with the trees offering pleasant shade. For those wanting to explore a more adventurous experience, we offer a bush breakfast where you will dine by a waterhole or at riverside, where you can enjoy watching game come to drink.

For a special experience, try our bush dinners where you will enjoy your dinner in the Reserve under the stars, surrounded by wilderness and comforted by the warmth of a crackling fire. Take in the delectable smells coming from the braai, or the potje - a traditional cooking pot, nestled in the embers. You may be lucky enough to hear the lion or hyena call out into the night, as you take in the experience of the surrounding bush.

Back at the Lodge, relax at the bar where you can take your pick from a fine selection of South African Wines, a range of gins, single malt whiskies and local craft beers from the Okavango. Finish the day with a nightcap or a nice hot cup of tea!

All menus can be discussed with our chef for preferences and any dietary requirements can be accommodated.
