Far from towns and artificial light, the Milky Way appears in remarkable clarity above the riverine forest and surrounding bushveld.

Guests often spend hours on the rooftop deck or beside the boma fire watching satellites, meteor trails and constellations move slowly overhead while listening to the sounds of the reserve after dark.
